EFCC ARRESTS CORPS MEMBERS AND UNDERGRADUATES AMONG 32 ALLEGED “YAHOO BOYS”

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC has arrested 32 persons for alleged involvement in internet fraud. Those arrested include 3 youth corps members, 19 undergraduates and 10 others popularly known as “Yahoo Yahoo Boys”.

The arrest followed a raid on their hideout in Ogbomoso in Oyo State. The operation was carried out by the Ibadan Zonal Office of the Commission on Tuesday.

In a tweet, the Commission says “Officers of the EFCC swept on the location, after diligent analysis of series of intelligence gathered on their alleged criminal activities“.

The suspects who were moved to Ibadan, the Oyo State capital will be charged to court on completion of investigation.
