The uncompleted Dangi overhead bridge that necessitated the demolition of the property belonging to the Emir of Kano, Muhammadu Sanusi II will finally be ready for use in the next three months.
State Commissioner for Works and Infrastructure, Muazu Magaji who confirmed this to MediaDimensions explains that the Emir’s house was obstructing work on the N4.47 billion project which was started last year.
In his words, “the land is around the upper uncompleted section, which should be the landing of the upper deck of the overpass…We are earnestly back at work as you can see.. And completion is next three months”.
Construction work was stalled on the project for about eight months. When completed as shown in the photo of the prototype design, the facility will connect the Zaria-Silver Jubilee and Zoo road in the metropolis to further ease traffic in one of the country’s most populated cities.
The engineering design of the project consists of two construction works. These include an underpass at the sum of N3, 032, 483, 760.81 and the flyover component put at N1, 446, 101, 082.25.
Construction of the overhead bridge at Dangi Roundabout was approved at the 111th meeting of the Kano State Executive Council
